Two presses of the same button closer than the threshold (80 ms by default) are flagged. Fingers rarely click that fast on purpose, so repeated flags mean a bouncing switch — the usual cause of random double clicks and dropped drags.
Clicks per second
Most people click 5–8 times per second; 10 or more is fast. The timing chart shows the gaps between your clicks; red bars under 30 ms are faster than a finger and usually come from a double-clicking switch.
Polling rate
How often the mouse reports its position, estimated from event timing. Office mice typically run at 125 Hz, gaming mice at 500–1000 Hz or more. Browsers and systems may merge reports, so the figure is a guide, not a lab measurement.
